Below, you'll see a sample of my work as an instructional designer, including but not limited to: course assets, course design, process improvements, and video scripts + assorted multimedia.
COMPANY: CORPU
At CorpU, I filled multiple roles: instructional designer, project manager, and content creator. As a small SaaS company dedicated to helping Fortune 500 companies leverage its learning platform to catalyze business outcomes, CorpU relied on its designers to create learning experiences that were expert-led, problem-based, integrated into daily work, and collaborative.
Course Name: Leading an Adaptive Organization (LAO)
Course Type: Signature course - part of static course catalog
Development Footprint: 8 weeks
Customers who have run the course: W.L. Gore, American Express, Mattress Firm
LAO was the first course I built at CorpU. I spent a few weeks refining the high-level design through frequent meetings with Penn professor Stanton Wortham. We wanted an application-heavy, collaborative learning experience for organizations to really interrogate how quickly and seamlessly they understood their environments, and learned from those insights.
I was responsible for the design and the development of the course, which means: writing content, working with graphic designers to envision course graphics, working with video editors to choose footage, B-roll, and music for videos, and creating facilitation materials.
Screenshots of the course are below.

This screenshot shows an assessment I created for participants to share their thoughts on their organization. The assessment results are designed to then be pulled by a moderator during a live webinar at the end of the week, where participants (and business leaders) can see the distribution of feedback. This is an especially useful tool to drive outcomes, because you can see where the weakest areas are.
This screenshot shows an activity that brings partnership and roleplaying onto a virtual platform. Participants were emailed the role descriptions before the course started, and in this activity, they can choose to discuss on a live webinar that's already set up for them, or to call each other and conduct the call. Then, they share their insights from the roleplay in the next activity. In this way, we achieve synchronous learning, whereas many other activities in the course are asynchronous.
OnboardingI have experience in Onboarding initiatives, including but not limited to New Hire training, comprehensive professional development programs, and short courses that introduce new hires to company culture.

CONVERSIONNot only have I created content from scratch after consulting with SMEs, but I have also worked in conjunction with business partners, academic partners, and non-profit partners who provide resources from face to face sessions that I then convert into virtual learning.
|
leadership developmentI have created many courses focusing on various elements of leadership development: coaching, resilience, talent management, investing others in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, problem-solving (with Six Sigma), and more.
